Bretts Transport Ltd is a family owned company based at Guyhirn, Cambridgeshire, offering a complete package of haulage, distribution and warehousing services.

Bretts Transport Ltd offer a complete logistics service, whatever the criteria. Quality systems are in place for traceability of stock, customer care, delivery targets, driver/vehicle presentation and much, much more.

The Bretts family have worked at Guyhirn since 1907. Originally farmers, as the era of the motor car evolved the family built a service station and moved into the business of car repairs. The first lorry was purchased in the early 1930’s and in 1933, Bretts Transport was born.

The Company continued to prosper and in 1939, it was registered as a limited company. At this time, the Company was mainly involved in the transport of produce and agricultural products, but in the 1960’s it became involved with the many canning factories in the area and started to deliver canned goods on their behalf. The site was developed further and warehousing was added to the business.

Today, the Company handles goods from all over the world, both in its own stores and also from other local companies with whom it has built strong relationships. Bretts Transport Ltd works hand-in-hand with these companies as partners, to offer its customers a complete package of haulage, warehousing and distribution services.

Fenland Training has been formed to deliver the Periodic Drivers Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) training to company employees and individuals.

Following 29 years in the Haulage Industry as a full time lorry driver on general haulage, the last 15 years of them working for Brett’s Transport Ltd, read Pat's Story, Pat Ratcliffe felt it was finally time to hang up her keys for good.

However, she was reluctant to leave an Industry she had learned so much about and had already been passing on some of this knowledge via the PDA.

Bretts Transport has been hosting PDA Training Days since 2003 at their premises and Pat has been teaching the basics, such as roping & sheeting, reversing, and helping new drivers gain some essential experience and confidence along the way.

Pat had already obtained her CPC National in 1992 and went on to obtain her City & Guilds in 2009 in training and presentation skills.
